Sad news...

You may remember my post from a while back about Todd Smith of Selah and his wife losing their baby girl, Audrey. Well, tragedy has struck this family for the second time in less than 2 months. Todd’s sister, Nicol Sponberg, (she used to sing in Selah too) lost her 2 month old baby boy, Luke, last night.

I am not a parent, so I can’t even begin to understand how they could be feeling right now, but I know that they could definitely use as much prayer as possible. Along with Steven Curtis Chapman & family. So, so sad.

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:

for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 9:9-10

It is sad to hear about the loss of their son. It is good to know that they will rely on the Lord and their faith to get throught this hard time. It is sad too that it takes something like this for many of us to really begin to appreciate the family and friends that we so often just take for granted. God allows things to happen for a purpose and I pray they can recover from this and continue reaching forward to what God has for their family.
